For Your Life-Work Needs
Paid Vacation
Available to all full-time regular employees (pro-rated for part-time employees, based on hours worked). From three to five weeks of paid vacation based on length of service. Paid days accrue at the end of each full month worked.
My-Time
Available to all full-time regular employees (pro-rated for part-time employees, based on hours worked). Paid time off to tend to personal and family needs such as doctor or vet visits, school or religious activities. One-half My-Time day accrues for each full calendar month worked, up to six per year.
Paid Holidays
Available to all full-time regular employees (pro-rated for part-time employees, based on hours worked). Nine holidays paid annually: New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas.
Educational Assistance Program
Full-time regular employees are eligible for this benefit. Merial pays 100% of costs ($5,250 annual limit) for approved tuition and lab fees. Employee must maintain a grade of “C” or better to receive reimbursement for undergraduate expenses and a “B” or better for graduate program expenses.
Employee Assistance Program
Available to all Merial regular employees and members of their households. Confidential professional counseling is available by telephone 24/7/365 for personal and family issues, including balancing work and home pressures. Services include referrals to daycare or eldercare services, legal services or further counseling. Merial pays for all telephone counseling and up to five in-person sessions.
Adoption Assistance Program
Available to all full-time regular employees after one year of service. Up to $5,000 reimbursement for certain expenses incurred to adopt a child.
Pet Insurance from Veterinary Pet Insurance
Available to all full-time and part-time regular employees. Protect the health of all of your family members! A pet insurance policy helps pay for your pet’s treatments, surgeries, lab fees, X-rays and more.
